Tonya

TONYA POUNDS, FNP Owner of Magnolia Healthcare & Aesthetics Born and raised just outside Raleigh, North Carolina, Tonya earned her Undergraduate in Education at East Carolina University. Upon graduation, Tonya attended Wake Technical Community College, where she became a Registered Nurse and joined the Neurology/PACU team at UNC REX Hospital. While employed at REX, her passion for serving others through healthcare prompted her to earn her BSN and MSN, FNP-C from South University in Savannah, Georgia. From 2017 - 2022, Tonya was employed as a Nurse Practitioner in both Anesthesia at Wake Med and NiteLite Pediatric Urgent Care in the evenings. In 2021, Tonya earned her certification in aesthetics at the Laser Institute in Charlotte. In November of 2022, Tonya opened the doors to Magnolia Healthcare & Aesthetics, a privately owned medical and aesthetics facility serving all walks of life. When Tonya is not working, you can find her traveling, soaking up the salty air of the NC coast, working out, or spending time with her fur babies and/or nieces and nephews (all of whom she loves to spoil!).
